About Cascadia Running Camp
Cascadia Running Camp was born from a shared belief:
running can shape who you become, not just how fast you are.
As coaches, athletes, and mentors, we saw countless high school runners putting in the work physically- logging miles, following training plans, showing up day after day, yet struggling under pressure, self-doubt, and expectations. Many camps focus on fitness alone. Very few make space for the mental, emotional, and human side of sport, or if they do, it is more of an after thought.
We wanted something different.
Cascadia Running Camp was created to give student-athletes the opportunity to grow as competitors and people, learning not just how to train, but how to think, lead, reflect, and belong.
Set in the forests and trails of the Pacific Northwest, our camp embraces the environment as a teacher. The land reminds us that growth isn’t linear, conditions aren’t always perfect, and resilience comes from learning how to respond, not control.
We also believe that access matters.
Access to sport, to quality coaching, to mental skills education, and to spaces where athletes feel safe, respected, and seen. Cascadia is intentionally designed to be welcoming to athletes of all gender identities, body types, backgrounds, and levels of experience. Through scholarships, inclusive programming, and a values-driven camp culture, we work to remove barriers, financial, social, and emotional, so more athletes can experience the transformative power of running.
At Cascadia, athletes train together, learn together, and support one another across teams and identities. We believe:
Mental skills are trainable
Confidence is built, not bestowed
Strong teams are rooted in empathy and communication
Sport should be challenging and joyful
Our programming blends high-quality run training with daily mental skills education, honest conversations, creativity, and time to unplug from comparison and reconnect with purpose. Athletes leave with tools they can use not just in racing, but in school, relationships, and life.
Cascadia isn’t about producing one type of runner.
It’s about helping young people become grounded, resilient, self-aware humans, who happen to love running.
Our Mission
To help high school distance runners grow into confident, resilient humans by providing opportunities and tools to develop the mental and physical skills they need for sport and life.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every runner - regardless of gender identity, background, or ability - has access to high-quality coaching, meaningful community, and tools to thrive in sport and beyond.
